Video: Support American Jobs with Clean Wind Energy

Other Resource

Wind energy provides critical economic benefits and creates thousands of American jobs. But if Congress does not extend the production tax credit (PTC) by Dec. 31 all of this is in jeopardy. The PTC significantly reduces the cost to build a wind project and has helped the American wind industry compete in the global clean energy economy. When the production tax credit expired in 2003, wind installations dropped 77 percent. Companies are already laying off workers in anticipation of the expiration. Tell your Senators and Representative to vote for the limited extension of the production tax credit for wind.
