While our oceans cover 71 percent of the Earth's surface and contain most of its biodiversity, only a tiny fraction of them are protected. Pew and several other environmental organizations recently teamed up with Project Ocean, a campaign by the London department Selfridges, to highlight the problems facing our oceans and the role that marine reserves can play in protecting them. This video addresses why protecting these places—before it is too late—is critical.
