On August 13, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced the preferred management alternative B2 for the National Petroleum Reserve Alaska (NPRA) that goes a long way toward responsibly balancing oil and gas development with conservation of NPRA’s globally unique wildlife and subsistence values.
