Andi Pearl joined Pew in 2006 as a officer for the Antarctic Krill Conservation Project. In 2010, she moved to the Global Ocean Legacy project, where she is responsible for assessing future projects related to the campaign’s goal of protecting special places in the sea.

Before joining Pew, Pearl was a consultant providing strategic policy, research and grant-making guidance to clients such as the Town Creek Foundation, Center for a New American Dream, National Environmental Trust and Antarctica Project. Previously, she was a program officer and interim executive director of the Merck Family Fund. She also was a lawyer with the Environmental Protection Agency in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Monitoring, Waste Division and with a law firm in Washington.

Pearl holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and political science from the University of Vermont and a J.D. from Washington College of Law at American University.
